Traditional Funeral Services

A structured opportunity to gather, honor a life, observe tradition, and accompany someone to burial or cremation.

What a traditional funeral may include

A traditional funeral often includes a visitation or viewing, a religious or secular ceremony, a procession, and a committal at a cemetery or other permitted place of disposition. These elements are not a rigid package. Their sequence, length, location, and tone can be shaped around the family’s faith, culture, schedule, and preferences.

Visitation and viewing

A visitation gives relatives, friends, and community members time to gather and support the family. A viewing may be part of that time when selected and appropriate. The arrangement discussion covers location, hours, preparation, clothing, personal items, photographs, music, flowers, and who will receive guests.

Ceremony, procession, and committal

The funeral ceremony may be held at the funeral home, a place of worship, or another appropriate location. Blair-Mazzarella can coordinate with clergy or celebrants, review readings and music, and help organize participants. If burial follows, the funeral director also coordinates the procession and cemetery timing.

Personalization and family roles

Personalization can be understated: a meaningful photograph, selected music, a eulogy, religious objects, military honors, favorite flowers, printed materials, or a video tribute. We help families focus on details that genuinely reflect the person rather than adding decoration for its own sake.

What the family can expect

The arrangement conference covers the service plan, required information, merchandise, outside charges, timing, participants, obituary details, and next actions. Choices are documented and confirmed so the family knows which decisions are complete and which still require follow-up.
