Planning a Memorial That Feels Personal

Build a coherent gathering around a few authentic details rather than generic decoration.

A personal memorial does not require an elaborate theme. It begins with a few details that reveal the person and help guests recognize the life being remembered.

Choose two or three anchors

A photograph, a piece of music, a reading, a community role, a craft, or a story can become an anchor. Use those anchors to guide the speakers, printed materials, and visual display.

Create a clear sequence
