You do not need to arrive with every decision made. The arrangement conference is where the funeral director helps organize the service plan and identify what still needs attention.
Helpful records
Bring identification, basic biographical details, any preplanning or cemetery records, military discharge papers if applicable, and contact information for clergy or important family members. Ask before carrying original sensitive documents unnecessarily.
Preferences and participants
Think about burial or cremation, visitation, religious or secular ceremony, music, readings, speakers, webcasting, obituary details, and the people who should participate in decisions.
Questions
Ask what is time-sensitive, which outside charges may apply, which authorizations are needed, how updates will be communicated, and where to find the current General Price List.
